BURDETT NURSING AWARDS 2018

Nominate a Team

Nominations are invited from fellow healthcare professionals and patient groups. Nominated teams must be nurse-led and demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest quality patient care.

Nominated teams must:

  • be led by a nurse or midwife or group of nurses/midwives;
  • comprise two or more individuals;
  • work collaboratively to improve practice through innovation, transformation and change;
  • incorporate and imbue the concept of quality in everything they do, making quality part of their everyday normative working practice;
  • define what ‘excellence’ means to them and their patients and show how they are transacting an aspirational and goal-orientated model of care in practice.

All teams must be available to:

  • attend an interview, if requested on 7 or 8 March 2018;
  • if successful, attend the final award’s event on 24 May 2018.

Nominations will be accepted between 1 September 2017 and 1 December 2017.

Please note: the nomination form will ask for your full contact details as the nominator and for the main contact of the nominated team.   You will also be asked to provide the names of all other team members.  The form will ask you to tell us about the nursing team, what elements of its nursing practice makes it exceptional and why you think it should win an award.  You will also be asked to provide a tangible example of when the team made a difference in the life of a patient and/or the wider patient community. 

Please note:all nominated nurse-led teams must be aware that they are nominated and have given their consent.
